RIP JD Salinger

"You take a really sleepy man, Esmé, and he always ... stands a chance of again becoming a man with all his fac – with all his f-a-c-u-l-t-i-e-s intact."

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work. I don't know where I (and a lot of others) would be without you. The Catcher in the Rye, and For Esme- with Love and Squalor will always be my favorites. You will surely be missed.

XOXO, Dani

Good Morning, Bloggers!

Right now it's 8:40, and I am about to head to school at around 9. While I am waiting, I'm enjoying some hot chocolate and mini muffins my mother baked! Haha. I hope everyone has a wonderful day! ♥

PS, I know this is a useless post, but I felt cheery this morning and wanted to spread the love! I'll post something worthwhile either earlier today or tomorrow. =]

Next Stop: Tokyo

Why is Japanese street fashion so cool? It is one of my biggest goals to live in Japan, especially in the Tokyo area. Everything about their culture fascinates me, and I am in love with their street fashion. Unlike here in the states, Japanese men aren't afraid to be super fashion forward, or to try their own thing. And the girls there are so creative and unique! It's amazing to me =]

Every End is a New Beginning

This song is absolutely perfect, and if you've seen the movie in which it's from, then you know how important it is, not just to the movie, but to the fans.

It's from an anime movie called Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru, or 5 Centimeters per Second. It is such a beautiful, touching, heart breaking movie, and I always feel a little melancholy whenever I finish watching it. Even if you're remotely interested, I urge you to check this out. It's not the typical anime that most people think of, with giant robots and futuristic technology. It's real life, dealing with love, separation, hope and heartbreak.

I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do, even if you aren't interested in movie. It's a beautiful piece.

I'm Sorry.

Hello to anyone who reads my blog. I'm sorry I haven't been posting much. I hate it, considering I promised myself that I would keep up with it and post constantly. There are no excuses. I've been lazy and consumed with other things, and I have not made an effort to keep up with it. I'm sorry. I know not many people read this blog, but to anyone who has/does, and actually checks for updates, I am truely sorry.

I'm sorry this is complicated. Haha. To be honest, I feel like I'm making a bigger deal out of this than I should, but I figured I have some explaining to do to those who have read my blog.

Thank you to those who have been interested in my blog. I really appreciate it =] I will be updating more within this next week, I promise! Haha.

XOXO, Dani
