The New Years Resolutions List

Yes, here it is. I'm sorry. I'm going to do the oh so cliche "New Years Resolutions" post. Forgive me. I was gonna do to a whole post for New Years, but felt I should do it on the actual day =P Sorry! But you'll never know; you could find some of this interesting...

So, here it goes!

2010 New Years Resolutions
STOP BEING SO DAMN LAZY - I am very lazy. Ask my mom, or my brother, or even my father. It's not that I don't do what needs to be done, but I do tend to slack off for the bare minimum. It's horrible, I know, but it's true. This year I have to make sure I keep up with school and do my work (even if I don't want to), be more active (no more days of doing absolutely nothing!), and really work toward my goals. Oddly, I feel as if this might be a good year for me, so hopefully I can pull through.
FIND A JOB - Now, don't think I haven't been searching (I have, and it's a real b*tch), I just never get hired. I don't know why. I just don't. I've tried at lots of places, and each onehave never give me a call back. But I'm not going to give up! I am going to get a job, and at a place I'll like, too! I just have to keep looking. Wish me luck!
BE MORE SERIOUS ABOUT CERTAIN THINGS - This kind of goes with the "STOP BEING SO DAMN LAZY" one in that I want to be more serious about certain things I want to do. I want to have further lessons in piano and become a better player, do my very best in my vocal training class and become a much better singer, really play with my love for fashion and figure out where that love is going. I also really want to become more serious about my writing. Writing and storytelling has always been a passion of mine, and in the end, will always be my one true love. I aim to be more serious in writing my stories, continuing them, and looking for ways to improve and maybe even publish them. It's kind of a lofty goal, but we'll see. It is one of my biggest dreams to get something published, so why not start working at the goal now?

DEVELOP MY STYLE MORE - I am a huge fan of fashion and playing with it, so I really want to fine tune my style and figure out what works for me best and what I like the best. I also want to do more research on brands and see which ones I like the most and am willing to spend my money on. Some of that stuff ain't cheap, and if I'm going to spend $300.00 on a pair of boots, I better know where it came from, what it's made out of, and if it feels right.
MAKE MORE FRIENDS! - This is pretty self explanitory. I want to make more friends! Blogging friends, school friends - everything! It's always nice to have lots of friends. =] Of course, when I say friends, I mean true friends. Not snarky bitches that talk crap behind your back and bring you down. Nice, down to earth people who generally care about me and the same stuff I do. If anyone wants to be a friend, than don't be afraid to comment! =]
FIND TRUE LOVE - ;]
Well, that's it! If I think of anymore (I don't think there is, but we'll see!) then I'll post it. For now, that's it.
I wish you luck with with your New Years Resolutions and I hope you can think of some good ones!
XOXO, Dani

  1. That's a lot of great resolutions for the year. I used to have new year's resolutions and I found it so hard to follow through. What I'm doing now is a Monthly resolution. I have it planned out for the whole 2010. Things that I need to do or achieve on a monthly basis. Oh and about developing your style more, you should visit: http://www.chictopia.com I became a member of chictopia a couple months back and ever since, people I know have complimented me on my outfits. It's a fun site that gathers fashionistas, where you can post your pictures and people will comment about your outfit and it's also a great way to meet new friends. Happy New Year sweetie.

  2. Those all sound fantastic! I should work on a few of those as well. Unfortunately, I have been too lazy to write out a nice list of resolutions, so I just have the one: try to go to the gym every day. I figure that even if I fail, I'll be ambitious to go every day, which will still result in more workout time.
My favorite of those is the writing one. Keep writing and sharing! It's always a pleasure to visit your blog. :)
